Position: Application Developer
Department: Information Technology
Date Needed: ASAP
Description of Duties: Working in teams, design, develop and modify web-based applications,
as well as creating custom web-based systems.
Qualifications
Education: BA/BS in Computer Science/Information Technology.
Experience/Skills:
1-2 + years full life cycle development experience: requirements analysis, scope management,
software configuration management, system design techniques, application of proper development tools,
testing and transition to production environments.
3-5 years of .NET development experience: skills including C#, ADO, ASP.NET, SQL, Web Services and XML.
Knowledge of COBOL and CICS, as well as Project Management skills.
Demonstrated Abilities:
- Excellent written and oral communication including the ability to demonstrate command of language,
clarity of thought and orderliness of presentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a complex technological environment supporting
the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Team skills to work in groups and interact with a professional attitude.
- Proven ability to develop effective partnerships with people from various internal and external groups.
- Taking ownership for producing results.
Practical Experience in:
- Unit testing concepts and all phases of software development life cycle.
- Designing, developing and deploying new web sites.
- Optimizing and performance tuning web applications.
