Position: Liability Claims Specialist
Department: Liability Claims Unit
Date Needed: ASAP
Description of Duties: Investigation and disposition of assigned claims and serves as an expert in one or more areas of claim handling.
Serve as a leader within the Claim department and promotes the goals of the claim unit.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor Degree in Business or related field and five years technical claims experience. Advanced insurance education:
SCLA, CPCU, AIC, attained or actively being pursued is preferred. Requires minimal direction/supervision and is a self-starter when problem-solving.
Experience/Skills: Demonstrated ability to respond to claims trends by implementing programs that are beneficial to the Company (i.e., ADR).
Effectively interact and partner with the counsel; exhibit excellent customer service; and exude a highly professional appearance.
Superior knowledge of litigation management and policy interpretation. Knowledge of unfair claims practices and state insurance regulations.
Ability to handle the most complex claims.
